Palmeiras sensation Endrick prefers move to Premier League rivals Chelsea over Manchester United
Chelsea are the preferred destination for Palmeiras sensation Endrick amidst interest from a number of clubs, including Manchester United, according to ESPN Brasil (h/t Metro).
The Red Devils, alongside Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, are keeping an eye on the 16-year-old. While the forward will only be able to move when he turns 18, several clubs are already looking to tie up a deal.
The Ligue 1 champions tabled an offer for Endrick recently. However, the €45 million bid was rejected by the Brasileirao outfit. PSG and the Stamford Bridge side are both willing to offer €60 million. However, the young Brazilian is keen on a move to the Premier League, specifically the Blues.
The 16-year-old recently made his debut for Palmeiras in the Brazilian top flight against Coritiba in a 4-0 victory. He went on to score his first senior goal in a league game against Athletico Paranaense, where the striker bagged a brace in a 3-1 win.
Overall, Endrick has featured in six games for the Verdao in all competitions in the current campaign. He has found the back of the net three times and provided one assist.
United currently have a number of youngsters to whom Erik ten Hag has handed opportunities. During pre-season, fans were able to witness the talent of the likes of Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage.
In the current campaign, Alejandro Garnacho has been given considerable game time in recent weeks. And the 18-year-old has taken his chances with both hands.
Endrick is a player for the future. So any team looking at the youngster is thinking about their long-term project. And it would be wise for the Old Trafford side to do the same.
