Darren Bent believes Manchester United the ‘perfect’ destination for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane
Former Tottenham Hotspur ace Darren Bent believes Manchester United would be the ‘perfect’ destination for England captain Harry Kane. The ex-striker feels the Red Devils need to add to their talent pool up front.
And the 29-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer of 2024, has been urged to make his way to the Old Trafford side. The Spurs star is not close to extending his deal in North London yet.
Speaking on talkSPORT via Twitter (h/t Express), Bent does not think Manchester City are an option anymore for Kane. Thus, he suggests the England international to sign for United, who seemingly need a striker.

“Where does he go? That [Manchester] City bubble has gone.
“United would be perfect, they need a centre-forward. That makes sense.”
Kane has been one of the best players in the world for a while now. However, the striker does not have any silverware to show for it. Many fans are of the opinion that the 29-year-old needs to move away from Tottenham to secure his legacy.
The England international recently became the player with the most goals for a single club in the Premier League. The forward has also garnered three Golden Boots in the English top flight.
However, Spurs have only notably made the Champions League final in the 2018/19 season in Kane’s fruitful spell in North London. Apart from that, the Lilywhites have failed to challenge for major honours over the years.
United have had similar issues since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. However, we still have a few trophies to show for, like the FA Cup and Europa League title.
Under Erik ten Hag, except for Manchester City, the Red Devils have gone toe to toe with every top side they have faced in the current campaign. We are the only team to have handed table-toppers Arsenal a defeat this season.

The Old Trafford side seem to be rebuilding under the Dutch manager. While it remains to be seen whether we win any trophies under the former Ajax coach’s tenure, the addition of Kane would evidently make that task a little bit easier for us.
