Chelsea owner Todd Boehly makes Manchester United target Jude Bellingham his ‘top target’
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, has become a top target for Chelsea, according to the Evening Standard (h/t Daily Mail).
Todd Boehly has his eyes on the 19-year-old as he looks to build on the Stamford Bridge side’s recent transfer business. However, other top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interested in the England international.
While the Merseysiders are tipped as favourites to land Bellingham, the likes of the Red Devils and the Blues are also in the race. However, it remains to be seen who gets a hold of the 19-year-old’s signature.
Over the years, Bellingham has developed into one of the best midfielders in Germany. The 19-year-old has also been able to carve a place for himself in the England national team. And English fans will be hoping the 19-year-old can showcase his skills for the Three Lions in Qatar later this year.
Bellingham joined Dortmund in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City. And since then, the midfielder has been a constant in the Bundesliga outfit’s starting lineup.
The 19-year-old seems to have taken his game to the next level this season. Against Manchester City in the Champions League group stages, the England international turned many heads with his performances.
Bellingham has featured in every game for BVB in the 2022/23 campaign. In 16 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit in all competitions, the midfielder has scored six goals and provided two assists. The youngster has also been handed the captain’s armband in a couple of games by Edin Terzic.
