Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic attracting interest from Manchester United and Liverpool
Manchester United are amongst two Premier League clubs considering a move for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to Fichajes (h/t Manchester Evening News).
Liverpool are also interested in the 29-year-old’s signature. The Merseysiders are leading the cue to bring the Croatian to the Premier League next summer.
Brozovic made his way to Serie A in the 2014/15 season. Since then, the 29-year-old has been a constant in Inter’s engine room. The Croatian’s current contract runs until 2026 and he earns around £200k a week with the Italian giants.
The midfielder is also an established international. Brozovic played the full 90 minutes in the 2018 World Cup final for Zlatko Dalic’s team. Unfortunately, Croatia lost 4-2 to France.
The midfielder has played in multiple positions for the Nerazzurri. The 29-year-old has mostly played in the number six and box-to-box positions for the Serie A giants.
In the current campaign under Simone Inzaghi, the Croatian has once again kept his place in the starting XI. The 29-year-old has featured nine times for Inter, scoring two goals.
United parted ways with several midfielders in the summer of 2022. Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard, amongst others, left the Old Trafford side. Andreas Pereira and James Garner were also sold by the Red Devils.
To replenish the middle of the park, United signed Christian Eriksen and Casemiro. However, fans feel more quality needs to be added to the engine room. We need players who are good on the ball if we are to play a possession-based style under Erik ten Hag.

The likes of Fred and Scott McTominay have seemingly struggled under the Dutch manager. Donny van de Beek also looks devoid of confidence since his move to Manchester in 2020. Will Brozovic be the one to add depth to the United midfield in the future? Only time will tell.
