€30 million-rated Napoli winger Hirving Lozano being closely monitored by Manchester United
Manchester United are ‘closely monitoring’ Napoli winger Hirving Lozano, according to Marca via Corriere dello Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News). The Mexican is unhappy at the Serie A outfit.
The Red Devils are interested in Lozano. And the 27-year-old could be on the move in the January transfer window. However, the Mexican’s €30 million price tag makes his signing in the winter unlikely.
Lozano signed for Napoli in the summer of 2019 from PSV Eindhoven. Since then, the Mexican has been a regular member of Gli Azzurri’s starting XI.
In the previous campaign, Lozano featured 37 times for Napoli. The 27-year-old scored six goals and provided six assists for the Serie A outfit.
This season, Napoli have been impressive. The Gli Azzurri sit top of the table in Serie A. In the Champions League, the Italian giants beat Liverpool 4-1.
Lozano has played in almost every game in the 2022/23 campaign. In seven appearances, the Mexican has registered one assist. However, the 27-year-old has not been in the starting lineup in the last few games.
United have a lot of options on the wings for Erik ten Hag to choose from. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have been brilliant this season. The Dutch manager has been able to get the best out of the two.
The Red Devils also added Antony to the squad in the recent transfer window. Ten Hag was reunited with the Brazilian in Manchester. And the 22-year-old went off to a great start scoring on his debut against Arsenal.

Anthony Elanga and Alejandro Garnacho can also be called upon when needed by the gaffer. Thus, spending a considerable amount to bring in another winger in Lozano is not something that fans feel is necessary.
