Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham to snub Manchester United for Real Madrid
Manchester United target Jude Bellingham is willing to snub other clubs for Real Madrid. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder would prefer a move to the 14-time Champions League winners, according to Marca (h/t The Sun).
The 19-year-old has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool. However, the England international’s “gestures” suggest he wants a move to the Spanish capital.
Los Blancos asked Bellingham to reject a new contract at Dortmund and turn down advances from Premier League clubs. And the 19-year-old obliged.
Madrid are seemingly rebuilding their squad and injecting youth in the engine room with the likes of Edouard Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni. And the BVB midfielder is part of Carlo Ancelloti’s side’s thinking. They have been following him since 2019.
Bellingham signed for Dortmund in the summer of 2020. The 19-year-old has developed into one of the best midfielders in his time with the German outfit. His current contract expires in 2025.
In the previous campaign, Bellingham played 44 times for Dortmund in all competitions. He scored six goals and provided 14 assists. And the 19-year-old has started the new season in fine form as well, playing every minute for Edin Terzic’s team.
United bolstered the engine room with the addition of Chrisitan Eriksen and Casemiro. In the eyes of the fans, the two have added much-needed quality to the middle of the park.
The Brazilian signed from the reigning UCL holders. Casemiro has seemingly raised the bar at United, which has seen the level of other players rise.
