Casemiro is happy with the start to his Manchester United career
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is happy with his start to life with the Red Devils. The 30-year-old signed for the Old Trafford side in the recent transfer window.
Casemiro comes to United with the pedigree of having won multiple prestigious trophies. The Brazilian has built up a reputation of being one of the best defensive midfielders over the years.
Speaking to United’s official website (h/t MEN), Casemiro shared his joy at his experience in the initial days of his time with the Red Devils. The Brazilian has felt a welcoming embrace in Manchester.
“It’s great, really good, a really friendly club where I feel comfortable. I’ve been made to feel comfortable here from the first day.
“I’m really happy with my team-mates, they’re always helping me. The coaching team always explaining things clearly to me, I’m doing really well and am very happy.”
United were seemingly in need of reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer. At the end of last season, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata left the club.
During the recent transfer window, the club also sold Andreas Pereira and James Garner. The latter was a promising academy graduate capable of playing in multiple positions in the engine room.
The Manchester-based club dipped into the market and got Christian Eriksen on a free transfer. The 30-year-old has been one of the best additions to Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Casemiro was the second midfielder the club signed. The Brazilian made his debut for United against Southampton in the third competitive game that the new gaffer took charge of.
The 30-year-old had to wait for his first start. Scott McTominay has been solid playing in the number six position. The Scotland international has consistently performed over the last few weeks.

Casemiro was finally part of the starting XI in the Europa League fixture against Real Sociedad. However, the Brazilian seemed to be off the pace a bit in the game that we lost 1-0. The 30-year-old will evidently need a bit of time to adjust to what Ten Hag wants him to do.
