Erik Ten Hag names three seasons behind the Manchester United summer signings
According to Manchester Evening News ahead of the important clash against Arsenal, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has praised the new signings and how they have integrated with the squad.
Since becoming the manager of Manchester United, Ten Hag has been aggressive with his approach to recruiting players from the Dutch League, Eredivisie.
His persistency resulted in the club signing the likes of Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez and Antony in the summer transfer window.
“First, the players who we signed are internationals for their countries. Secondly, they have performed really well in the Champions League,”
“And third also, they have individual skills, they are capable of playing high-intensity football.”
Lisandro Martinez could have been on the opposition side come Sunday if United were not quick to act after Arsenal had registered a concrete interest in the player.
We have to give credit to the Man United board for acting quickly and securing his signature and he has shown a commendable partnership with Raphael Varane with two consecutive clean sheets.
Similarly, Tyrell Malacia was supposed to be the understudy to Luke Shaw for the duration of the season. However, The Dutch left-back has been exceptional since making his first start against Liverpool and has provided a real threat to Luke Shaw for the starting position.
In conclusion, the signings made by Ten Hag have adapted well to their new surroundings and have become fan favourites. In the past, Manchester United players have been in the news for dressing room unrest and Ten Hag is keen to sign players who are willing to fight for the badge.
