Manchester United target Antony offers an update on his future
Speaking in an interview to NOS as quoted by popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Manchester United target Antony offers an update on his future amidst links to the Red Devils but insists he is happy at Ajax Amsterdam.
Man United have been heavily linked with a move for the talented Brazilian winger throughout this summer but links to the player have died down in recent weeks. However, it seems like the saga might not be over after all.
One of the most talented players that Ajax have at their disposal, Antony is indeed a huge talent. He is a solid player for his age and is widely regarded as one of the best young wingers going around in European football.
Despite interest from the Red Devils this summer, it is expected that the Amsterdam club do not want to sell the talented forward and Alfred Schreuder wants to keep Antony in the squad at least for the upcoming season.
Just when it seemed like interest was cooling off, in Manchester United’s pursuit of the talented winger, the player has spoken out about his future.
“Will Ten Hag call me? No idea.. he has to discuss this with my agents, I’m focused on here. What will come will come, we will see”
“I feel good at Ajax. I give everything for this club, every minute… so I am loving this city and this club”.
Manchester United have had a dismal start to the season. They have been abysmal in both their Premier League games till now suffering shocking defeats to both Brighton and Brentford and really struggling.
To be honest, signing Antony is not going to change anything for the Red Devils. Their problems run far deeper than just that and actually, although Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford have not done anything meaningful, we don’t need wingers.

Ten hag has a huge job in his hands. It is not easy to rebuild a side that has been so used to mediocrity for many seasons now and this shows in the fact that he is not able to instil his ideas into the existing squad.
The reinforcements that Man United have made are not enough but signing Antony is not the solution. The Red Devils need to get their act together very soon, otherwise, things could get downhill real soon.
