RB Leipzig director to meet the agent of Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter., Oliver Mintzlaff, the director of RB Leipzig, is set to meet Elvis Basanovic, the agent of Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko, to talk about a potential transfer.
The Red Devils are one of the clubs interested in the Slovenian. Premier League rivals Chelsea and other clubs are looking into the signature of the 19-year-old prospect.
Leipzig are the sister club of Red Bull Salzburg. And now they’ve seemingly entered the race to sign Sesko. It’s going to be challenging for United to get a possible deal over the line with so many options in the queue for the 19-year-old.
Sesko has the potential to be a future star in world football. The Slovenian is highly rated. He still has ways. The Austrian Bundesliga is not as demanding as some of the other top European leagues.
Man United lack depth in attack
United have a host of young talent in the attack. Anthony Elanga came into the side last season and proved his worth. The 20-year-old academy product made a regular place for himself with other attacking options faltering.
The pre-season has given a chance for other youngsters to make a mark as well. Alejandro Garnacho is the latest sensation to come out of the youth setup. The 18-year-old impressed fans with his performance in the friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Other young attacking options, such as Hannibal Mejbri, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri, have featured under Erik ten Hag during pre-season. James Garner, Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage have been the young midfield options who caught the eye.
The Red Devils go into next season after underwhelming attacking performances in the previous campaign. Cristiano Ronaldo was our top scorer for the 2021/22 season, but his future is uncertain at the moment.
