Manchester United youngster Charlie Savage attracting interest from teams in the Championship and League One
According to Sami Mokbel via UtdPlug on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News), several Championship and League One clubs are paying attention to Manchester United youngster Charlie Savage,
Teams from English football’s second and third tiers are looking into making a move for the 19-year-old midfielder. The academy youngster has been impressive for United during the pre-season.
Savage came up through the Red Devils’ youth system. The 19-year-old made his debut last season in a Champions League game against BSC Young Boys.

The Welsh national turned heads when he played a part in the first friendly against Liverpool in Thailand. Savage was impressive in the game alongside fellow academy youngster Zidane Iqbal.
The 19-year-old played a part in the first three pre-season games that United won on tour in Asia and Australia. But the youngster has missed out on the games against Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano.
The 19-year-old has featured a lot for the U18 and U21 sides for United. He has played in the defensive midfield position as well as a more central role for the youth teams.
We have an abundance of young talent in central midfield at the moment. Iqbal has been a breakout star under Erik ten Hag during the friendly games. The Iraq international has surprised many with his ability on the ball.
James Garner is another prospect that looks ready to be a part of the core group at United. The 21-year-old spent one-and-a-half seasons at Nottingham Forest on loan before returning this summer.
