Arsenal are reluctant making an offer for Manchester United target Youri Tielemans

According to TalkSPORT (h/t Metro), because of worries about the player’s physicality, Arsenal apparently haven’t made a transfer offer for Youri Tielemans, who is wanted by Manchester United.

The Belgian international has been a standout performer for Leicester in recent years, so it makes sense that Arsenal and other major teams would be interested in signing him this summer, especially given that his deal at the King Power Stadium is about to expire.

It has been evident for a while that only Arsenal and Manchester United have shown interest in signing the Belgian. However, It’s a little surprising that there don’t appear to be many suitors for the 25-year-old Tielemans this summer considering that he will become a free agent in a year.

Arsenal apparently have one issue with the player, which is his physicality. Mikel Arteta’s team haven’t made any offer until now owing to that reason.

This is very surprising because Tielemans has proven he is more than capable of competing in the Premier League and could undoubtedly help Arsenal in a position where they aren’t particularly strong.

However, this presents a fantastic opportunity for Manchester United to enter the transfer unimpeded. Gooners run the danger of losing out on a quality player who may sign with the Red Devils for a fairly reasonable price if they hesitate too long.

Last season, Tielemans played 50 games for Brendan Rodger’s team, contributing five assists and seven goals across all competitions. He excels in a box-to-box role and can be a tremendous asset to any team.

Man United has had trouble in creating opportunities from the middle of the field for a while. For the coming season, the Red Devils require additions, which is made worse by the ensuing departures.

Man United have to take Tielemans seriously if he’s eager to move there. He still has his best years ahead of him at 25. Someone has to fill the void left by Paul Pogba while Scott McTominay and Fred can arguably be upgraded on.

For him to play in a league like the PL shows that he has the physical abilities needed to be a top player here. Even in another scenario, clubs have nutritionists and trainers to help with such kind of things.

It’s best for Man United to focus on his footballing abilities and get him in because on his day, there aren’t a lot of better dribblers and passers of the ball than him.
