Report: Alejandro Garnacho makes early return to Manchester United pre-season training
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United starlet, Alejandro Garnacho has cut short his holiday to return early to pre-season training in a bid to impress Erik ten Hag for a place in the first team.
The young Argentine is undoubtedly one of the most talented wingers coming out of the Carrington academy and might be one of the biggest yet. Destined for the biggest in the world of football, the 17-year-old could break through into the first team very soon.
Extremely talented and gifted, the former Spain youth international is comfortable playing on either wing. Ever since he joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid, his stock has only been on an upwards trend.
One thing that makes the 17-year-old stand out from the others in his age group is his excellent eye for putting the ball in the back of the net. He is also good at creating chances which is an added advantage in his favour.
The Argentinian sensation has played 34 times for the Man United youth team this season scoring 14 goals and providing six assists across all competitions. This included a brace in the FA youth cup final against Nottingham Forest.
With a current deal that expires in 2025, Man United are keen on tying down their talented forward to a long-term deal. He has a huge future at Old Trafford and will be hoping for chances to prove himself under Erik ten Hag.
The fact that he has returned early from pre-season shows how determined he is to make it work in the first team next season but we need to remember that the Argentinian starlet is just 17 and we need to be careful with his progress.
We already have a number of talented wingers in the first team and there is also a young exciting crop coming up along with Garnacho. Hence, it remains to be seen as to how Erik ten Hag plans to give the teenage sensation minutes.
