Departing Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba hits out at the club
Speaking in his documentary as quoted by Manchester Evening News, departing Manchester United star Paul Pogba has hit out at the club for not renewing his contract and has vowed to show them what they will be missing.
Pogba joined Manchester United from Juventus in a then club-record move and the transfer was met with a lot of expectation. However, things have not exactly panned out as planned with the player turning out to be somewhat of a laughing stock at Old Trafford.
The French midfielder started last season in tremendous form but fell off the cliff almost immediately. The 29-year-old played 27 games for the Red Devils this season scoring one goal and providing nine assists across all competitions.
With his contract expiring next month, Pogba is expected to leave the club on a free. Speaking about the lack of contract renewal, the former Juventus man hit out at the club
“How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that.”
Money badly spent?
Pogba at Manchester United has been a ridiculous story. He joined the club ranks as a youth player in 2011 progressed through the ranks, left the club for free to Juventus, was bought back for a transfer record fee and is set to leave again for free.
To say that Pogba has been a huge Manchester United flop will be an understatement. Whilst the Frenchman’s talent has never been in question, we almost rarely got to see it during his time at Old Trafford.
Every time it seemed like the tide was turning, it proved to be a false dawn and it more often than not ended in frustration for us. It is not like the 29-year-old doesn’t have it in him anymore with his performances for the French national side being ample proof of it.
For all that we have done for Pogba, we have gotten very little in return from Pogba. Yet we have tried to stick by him for years hoping that he will come good eventually but it has not been the case and it is now time we move on.

Paul Pogba can complain all he wants but he had six years to prove his worth in a Red Devils shirt. It’s fair to say that he has not taken his chance and the ship has sailed.
