Fabrizio Romano: Liverpool prepare transfer bid for Manchester United target Darwin Nunez
According to the journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Liverpool are currently preparing to make a bid for Darwin Nunez, who is a transfer target for Manchester United. He has emerged to become one of the most sought after attackers in world football following his impressive 2021-22 campaign.
Man United have already expressed their interest in signing Nunez as they look to improve their options on the frontline this summer. They have maintained contact with his representative regarding a potential move but will now face increased pressure from the Reds for his services.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking to table an €80million plus add-ons offer to Benfica to secure the Uruguayan’s signature. Verbal discussions are ongoing between the two clubs as they look to reach an agreement regarding a potential transfer move. Romano further revealed that the next few hours or days could be crucial as the FA Cup winners wait for the follow-up process to their approach.
Can Man Utd beat Liverpool?
The competition from the Merseysiders cannot be taken lightly in any case, as they are in a far superior position than us right now.
