Manchester United target Hugo Ekitike is set to join Newcastle United in the summer window
According to 90min (h/t Mirror), Talented youngster Hugo Ekitike seems to be Newcastle United bound despite being linked to Manchester United.
Hugo Ekitike has been a standout performer in the Ligue 1, scoring ten goals and providing four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions. Apart from being a crucial member of the Reims squad, the 19-year-old has shown considerable improvements in this term, reflecting that the Frenchman could reach significant heights in the coming years.
Hugo Ekitike’s crucial performances haven’t gone unnoticed by top teams. It is believed that Manchester United, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are keeping a close tab on the 19-year-old.
However, now it seems Newcastle United have the edge in the race as Eddie Howe’s team appears to be closing on an agreement with the French club for the signature of Ekitike.
