Manchester United eyeing fresh transfer move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane amid Mauricio Pochettino links
As per the Mirror, Manchester United are considering making a fresh transfer move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the summer to bolster their attacking ranks amid links to former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Kane nearly completed a move to rivals Manchester City last summer, but Spurs managed to hold on to him for yet another season. The Englishman has had his struggles in front of goal since starting the new campaign, but he now looks to be back in form and look like his old self.
After last summer saw the Englishman linked to City, this summer could see their neighbours United pursue him strongly as they look to add attacking reinforcements to their side and add more firepower up top in the first team.
Kane was last seen scoring against the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Saturday, dispatching a penalty to fire home an equaliser in the first half of the game- his 21st goal this season in all competitions. However, his side would go on to be on the losing end of a 3-2 scoreline at the end of ninety minutes.
Possible reunion with Pochettino
The 28-year-old will have two years left on his current deal at the end of the season, and it is up to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to make a decision on his prize asset in the summer. The club could either convince the talisman to sign a new deal with his boyhood club, or risk him running down his contract which could lower his transfer value on the market.
Kane’s transfer rumours to United also come at a time when they have been linked to Paris Saint-Germain boss Pochettino ahead of the new campaign. The Old Trafford side is chasing a new permanent manager next term, and if they manage to snap up the ex-Spurs boss, then Kane has a chance to potentially link up with the Argentine which may appeal to him.
United’s struggles in front of goal this term have been no secret, with our current crop of attackers failing to convert chances and break down tough opposition defences. Despite boasting names like Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, the situation has been dire.
With both of them on the wrong end of their 30s, our front line is hardly the youngest in the Premier League. There are no guarantees that either of them will stay at the club for too long, and a younger replacement is needed in the summer.

Kane is in the prime of his career and has been one of the best forwards in England since he made his senior debut for Spurs. An experienced international player as well, the England skipper would make a fine addition to our squad if he sign him ahead of next season. Moreover, he is tried and tested in England- something which certainly makes him an enticing prospect for any team in the PL.
If this summer, we end up getting both Pochettino and Kane, we will have done mightily well in the transfer window. Both of them know each other very well from their time together in N17, and hopefully, they can recreate the same magic in Manchester as well.
