28-year-old superstar open to Manchester United stay despite interest from European behemoths

Transfer News: Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba agrees deal to join Juventus this summer.

Paul Pogba open to Manchester United stay despite of massive PSG contract offer

According to Daily Mail Online, Paul Pogba could stay with Manchester United beyond next summer even if PSG are willing to offer a massive contract to sign him.

Pogba will become a free agent in the summer transfer window if he does not sign an extension in the coming months. He could legally sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs as a result, which has clearly put Man United in a precarious position.

That being said, the Frenchman is open to extending his stay at Old Trafford even though he has interest from elsewhere. Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a lucrative contract offer for the midfielder but he is keeping his options open until the summer- which comes as good news for Man United fans.

Good for us?

The 28-year-old’s return from his long-term injury has given us a huge boost with an influx in quality in the midfield. His impact has been evidently felt in the middle of the park and despite our poor run of form, Pogba has been doing fairly well on an individual level.

The Man United ace is claimed to be happy to take his time before making a decision on his next club. That gives us added time to make our case and convince him to pledge his allegiance to us for the foreseeable future.

That being said, the board would need to solve the managerial uncertainty so that the player himself has an idea of what he is going to be in for if he stays at United beyond the summer. Ralf Rangnick is managing us in an interim capacity and we are yet to announce a permanent replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, the Ligue 1 club is not the only threat in our attempt to tie down the Red Devils midfielder to a new contract. Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

Time will give us an answer on the outcome of this situation as we near the end of the season in the coming months. Pogba returned to Man United from Juventus amidst much hype but has largely struggled to establish himself as a midfield superstar who can be labelled as one of the very best in the world in his position.

He has often been our best central midfielder over extended periods of time, however, and keeping him at the club would undoubtedly be a massive boost for us. Finding a replacement for a player like him is certainly not an easy job.
