Leeds United and Aston Villa in contact with Manchester United transfer target Boubacar Kamara
According to Daily Mail Online, Leeds United and Aston Villa have made contact with Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara amidst interest from Manchester United. The midfielder is one of the best young talents in Ligue 1.
Kamara is in the final six months of his current deal at the Stade Velodrome. He could legally sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside France if there are plans to move elsewhere. As a result, Leeds and Villa have been engaged in talks with his representatives to discuss the possibility of a transfer.
The French side is ready to sell the 22-year-old for £10million as they try to cash in on him rather than losing him on a free next summer. Man United need a new midfielder and Kamara certainly fits the bill. They will however have to also compete against Newcastle United who are also keen on the player.
Be wary!
We are yet to make any midfield additions in the January transfer window, even though there is a desperate need for one. The lack of balance in the squad and the inability to gain control in the middle of the park is a major reason for our struggles.
So it is baffling how we have not tried to make an official bid for the Frenchman as the winter market is nearing its end. Ralf Rangnick has changed the system to a 4-3-3 which reduces the load on the midfield pivot. Brazilian midfielder Fred has been utilised as a box-to-box midfielder, while Scott McTominay plays the role of the defensive midfielder.
That leaves Nemanja Matic as our only option in defensive midfield for the rest of the season, which does not fill us with confidence. The Ligue 1 star is an excellent option to boost our squad for a relatively short fee this month. He is a complete midfielder possessing excellent technical skills and also possesses dominant defensive attributes, making him an exciting prospect for us to land.

With not many days left in the transfer market, we cannot be complacent anymore and will need to act fast if there is a plan to land the midfielder. With competition from three Premier League clubs, we cannot afford to be complacent in our pursuit of the 22-year-old.
Kamara is young and has the necessary traits to emerge as a top midfielder in the years to come. Man United cannot afford to dilly dally and will need to make up their minds soon, lest we miss out on another promising young talent.
