Transfer News: Manchester United youngster Ethan Laird has secured a loan move to Bournemouth
According to transfer news from the Bournemouth official website, Manchester United have loaned youngster Ethan Laird to Bournemouth for the remainder of the season.
Ethan Laird enjoyed a successful loan spell to Swansea before Manchester United called him back. The English youngster has represented his country at the u-19 level and has earned a lot of apprentices in the Championship. The Red Devils youngster has already secured four assists in 21 appearances while playing for the Swans.
Dorset Live and The Athletic have suggested that Bournemouth have agreed to pay a better loan fee than Swansea and have also agreed to pay a higher amount of the 20-year-old star’s overall wages. This could be why Manchester United called him from his previous loan spell.
Bournemouth Chief Executive Neill Blake lauded the Manchester United youngster and suggested that the 20-year-old fits the system of the Cherries.
“Ethan is an exciting prospect, and we are very pleased to have brought him on board. His style of play fits perfectly with ours.”
AFC Bournemouth head coach Scott Parker told Daily Echo that he was impressed by the performances of Ethan at Swansea and is eager to take the youngster to the next level.
“He is someone who stood out to me over the course of a lot of games, and thankfully, Man United have moved him over to us in terms of to take the next step for him.”
Ethan Laird has shown a positive approach and impressive performances in his Championship spell. The 20-year-old also has 24 League one appearances on his belt. The English star is on the right track to earn experience, and he could become a key player for Bournemouth this season.
The Cherries are currently holding the top spot in the Championship; the Manchester United loanee can help them get promoted to the Premier League next season.
