PSG deemed most ‘likely destination’ for out-of-contract Manchester United ace Paul Pogba
According to the United Journal, via journalist Paul Hirst (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United ace Paul Pogba is likely to end up at PSG once his contract expires in the summer.
The French superstar re-signed for the Old Trafford outfit for a club-record deal in 2016. Since then, he has made 219 appearances for the Red Devils. In that period, he has scored 38 goals and provided 49 assists, including having seven contributions this season. However, he has been out with an injury since early November.
Additionally, the player is out of contract in the summer. It was recently claimed that Man United handed him an offer worth around £500k-per-week, but his camp quickly rubbished the news, courtesy of which there is still uncertainty over his contract situation.
It has now been suggested that PSG appears the most likely destination for the 28-year-old. Real Madrid and Juventus have also been touted as potential options previously, but a move back to France might be too hard to refuse.
Perfect destination?

Going by the news above, it is a blessing that apparently no Premier League club is interested in landing the 2018 World Cup winner. The midfielder still possesses unreal talent, and it would have been painful to see him achieve great things with a domestic rival.
Regardless, a move to a foreign club is on the cards, and Pogba could seal a pre-contract this month itself. But until then, Man United can convince him to commit his future at Old Trafford. He has produced dazzling moments for us, and under the right coach and system, he could actually succeed and make things click.
But if he is to depart, it remains to be seen if Pogba would want to choose the team that ensures his comeback to French football. The France international is a product of the Le Havre academy and spent several years in the country before joining our academy in 2009 and then leaving for Juventus in 2012.
Thus, there are several choices for the world-class midfielder. It would be ideal for us if he chooses to stay in Manchester, but short of handing him a massive contract, there is very little John Murtough and co can do. However, for now, Pogba needs to get back to full fitness and help us in our quest to finish in the Top 4 this season.

As for PSG, it seems like they are just collecting as many top players as they can. Pogba is certainly one of the big fish here at Old Trafford but it wouldn’t be wrong to wonder what happens to his career if he turns out to be one of the smaller finishes in the big PSG pond.
The likes of Gareth Bale, Philippe Coutinho, and Eden Hazard leaving English teams for other European clubs proved to ultimately hamper their status as individual stars and it remains to be seen how Pogba performs elsewhere were he to leave the Red Devils this year.
