Ralf Rangnick sends Christmas message to Manchester United fans all over the globe

Speaking in an interview with the official club media, as mentioned on the club website, Ralf Rangnick wished Manchester United fans a Merry Christmas and mentioned his wish to play in front of a packed Old Trafford as early as possible.

The German manager has done a good job since taking over the helm from Michael Carrick as our interim manager. A Covid-19 outbreak in our camp disrupted our momentum earlier this month, but things seem to be on the mend as we prepare to take on Newcastle United on the night after Boxing Day.

And Rangnick says that he wishes all fans are in good shape and take care of themselves during this tough time that has seen Covid-19 make an unwelcome comeback in Europe.

“I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas together with their families. Let’s hope and make sure we can still play in front of our supporters in the future.”

“This also means that the fans themselves stay in good health and stay safe – that would be my wish to everybody and hopefully we can see each other at the upcoming home games or away games.

He also expressed how much he is looking forward to playing in front of 75,000 fans at Old Trafford once again. It is clear that United fans have taken a liking to Rangnick in the short time that he has been at Old Trafford.

His tactical and managerial acumen is there for all to see and not a lot of United fans would have a problem with him becoming our permanent manager if positive results continue.

After Christmas, it’s not going to be an easy-going fixture for our players as we gear up for three games in the space of 6 days. The clash against Newcastle on 27th December is followed by a league game against Burnley in a late-night kick-off on 30th December, before we welcome Wolves at Old Trafford on January 3rd, in what will be our first game in 2022.

9 points from these three games will be the target. We enjoyed a superb 13-game unbeaten run in the Premier League last season that lasted from the start of November until January 27th. A repeat of that form would be just what the fans would have asked for from Santa today.
