Manchester United earmark £75.6 million as Ralf Rangnick’s January transfer budget
According to the Spanish news outlet MARCA, Manchester United have earmarked their budget for the January transfer window. Interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has a big job on his hands and bringing in the right players in January could ease our job in the second half of the season.
The German will be given a sum of £75.6 million to make additions to the Man United squad in the winter transfer window. They are still in a comfortable place where a solid run throughout the rest of the campaign would help them get a hold over the Champions League positions.
Man United have some players in mind who could be used to generate funds for reinvestment within the team. However, it is not confirmed, and it would depend on how the situation develops for each player. Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard are the most likely names to leave Old Trafford next month.
Paul Pogba could also be used as a makeweight to get in some funds before his contract expires next summer. Dean Henderson, meanwhile, could be sold for around £19.8 million to generate more money to back the 63-year-old coach. However, nothing is guaranteed yet, and it remains to be seen if any of them will leave come January.
Solve the weakness?
We have some issues in our squad especially, in the midfield which needs to be addressed going forward. It is alarming that the problem was not solved at the earliest, especially since we have ambitions of winning the title. Bringing in a defensive midfielder is of top priority.
Other areas also need reinforcement and it will need to be looked at depending on the potential outgoings next month and at the end of the season. If some or all of our fringe players do end up leaving, we must make sure that we have enough players coming in to make a difference.

It remains to be seen who will be the January signings and departures at Old Trafford. The trio of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have taken a foothold as the top three sides in the country. Unless we bring in the right players, the Red Devils will continue to play catch up to their biggest rivals.
