Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga could make his Champions League debut
According to BBC Sport (h/t Unitedinfocus), Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga who made his first Premier League appearance this season against Crystal Palace could be given the green light to feature in the Champions League game against Young Boys.
The Swede has risen to fame due to his incredible performances for Manchester United’s U21 side. The 19-year-old player has already bagged five goals and three assists this season. The youngster has attracted the eyes of Ralf Rangnick, who seems to be putting his faith in the youngster.
The German manager gave the Swedish starlet his first English top-flight game this season when he substituted on him in the 75th minute. The player had a noticeable impact on the game. Furthermore, swiftly after his inclusion Manchester United got the goal from Fred that’s sealed the victory.
The 19-year-old player has been featuring for the U-19 side in the UEFA Youth League. However, it seems he is on the brink of a big break at United.
It is believed that Rangnick has decided to involve him in United’s last Champions League group game against Young Boys. Even though the Red Devil’s qualification is secured, it’d be interesting to see how the youngster perceives the big challenge.
The youngster has been involved with United’s youth sides since 2014. His consistent performance and fast growth have seen him climb up the team’s youth ranks.

The young player could become a future star with proper grooming, and there is no better person than the German manager to guide him. The United youth sides had a reputation in the Sir Alex Ferguson era where top players came from the ranks. The Red Devils should try to replicate that model as it could save a lot of the club’s investment in lucrative transfers.
