Manchester United star posts cryptic message on social media amidst West Ham links

Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard reposts a video of him celebrating after scoring for West Ham United

According to West Ham World, Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has reposted a video of himself from his West Ham United loan following failed contract talks with the board. The video shows him celebrating a goal with his trademark celebration.

Lingard had enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Hammers after scoring nine goals with five assists

from 16 matches. He joined West Ham in January of last season and showed some of his best performances in recent years.

His current contract with the Red Devils will expire in the summer of 2022, meaning he can reach a pre-contract agreement with other clubs in the winter transfer window. The 28-year-old refused to engage in contract negotiations in October, and his recent actions on social media fuel further speculation.

The England international wants to leave on loan in January as he is frustrated with the lack of minutes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He is also looking to run down his contract to ply his trade elsewhere.

And now, the winger reposted a video of himself scoring against Wolverhampton Wanderers when he was on loan at the Stratford based club. He also commented on the original video in the club’s account to which Declan Rice responded, causing mayhem.

David Moyes’ side will attempt to sign him in the January transfer window after failing to do so ahead of this season. Neither Man United nor the forward was interested in a return in August, but circumstances have changed this time around.

It remains

to be seen how the situation unfolds in the days to come. The Glazers stance on the current situation is undisclosed, and time will tell whether they will allow him to leave in January to bolster their rivals.

This is especially the case when West Ham have been in top form and are competing for the top four spots. Even if Lingard is not a regular at Old Trafford, his move to his former club could be self-destructive.
