Manchester United star Raphael Varane provided an update on his injury ahead of the trip to Watford
As per the player’s official Instagram account (h/t Manchester Evening News), Raphael Varane posted a picture of him recovering from his injury as Manchester United look to take on Watford on Saturday.
The 28-year-old signed for the Red Devils this summer and had a grand unveiling at Old Trafford. He was slotted into the side towards the end of August and was forming a good partnership with Harry Maguire.
However, that stopped after Varane picked up a groin injury during international duty with France in October. He made a quick recovery and featured in the 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
But to United’s frustration, the player had to be substituted before half-time during the game against Atalanta. It was later confirmed that the centre-back had suffered a hamstring injury. He shall be unavailable for the game against Watford on Saturday.
However, the Frenchman provided supporters with an injury update recently. The former Real Madrid man posted a picture on his official Instagram account, as he was training on a bike and regaining fitness. He wrote his caption in French, when translated in English, read (h/t Manchester Evening News):
“Turn frustration into motivation and come back stronger!”

Although the defender is already using the gym equipment, he is likely to be out for the rest of the month. The Red Devils have suffered without him this campaign, winning only once without him in the last four weeks.
In contrast, the club have won four times out of the 6 games he has featured for them this season. Thus, he will be missed for United’s upcoming crunch games against Villarreal, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
