Real Madrid accept Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland shall move to England amidst interest from Manchester United
According to journalist Josep Pedrerol (h/t The Sun), Real Madrid have accepted that Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland will play in England next year amidst interest from Manchester United.
The 21-year-old is arguably one of the best strikers in world football today. He has been in unbelievable form of late and has already scored 13 goals in 10 games for Borussia Dortmund this season.
The Norwegian has long been touted for a move away from Dortmund, and it might happen next summer. He apparently has a release clause worth £64million, and several clubs are interested in signing him.
Real Madrid are one of those clubs, but they have accepted that he shall play in England next year, according to journalist Josep Pedrerol (h/t The Sun).
“Real Madrid assumes that Haaland will play in England next year, and they have it ruled out.”
This is a major boost for the Old Trafford outfit, another club targeting a summer move for the centre-forward. Competition against the European heavyweights could have scuppered the deal, and their elimination from the race does help United.
Moreover, they might be needing reinforcements soon. Edinson Cavani is in the final year of his contract and could leave as a free agent next summer. Anthony Martial looks off the paces, and there is no certainty over his future at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo shall be six months away from turning 38 at the start of next season. Thus, United could certainly use the services of the young forward.
However, for the while, the star-striker shall focus on returning from injury as he has been out since Dortmund lost 4-0 to Ajax in the UEFA Champions League in October.
