Manchester United star Marcus Rashford denies Owen Hargreaves claim of fuming at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during Tottenham Hotspur victory
According to the player’s official Twitter account, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has refuted Owen Hargreaves’ claims that he was fuming at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the victory against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils ran riot in North London on Saturday evening as Solskjaer’s men handed a 3-0 drubbing to Spurs, thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford.
The Englishman has been rampant on his return as he found the back of the net against Leicester City and contributed in the come-back against Atalanta. However, he could not find the back of the net against Liverpool and was later benched against Spurs.
Although he scored his third goal of the season after coming on as a substitute, former Man United ace Owen Hargreaves claimed that the 24-year-old would be ‘fuming’ with the fact that he was put on the bench.
However, the club academy graduate has now come out and refuted all of these claims by stating that the team won the game and that it was a ‘hard week’.
The English international was not the only one who was benched as Mason Greenwood also lost his place in the starting line-up as Solskjaer reverted to a back three formation, which ensured the club’s 2nd clean sheet this season across all competitions.

Moreover, Rashford’s impact performance off-the-bench also displayed the kind of strength in the dug-out, especially after Jadon Sancho was not even brought on.
The centre-forward will now be aiming to keep up the good form as the Manchester-based outfit travel to Italy to face Atalanta before hosting rivals Man City at Old Trafford on the weekend.
