Transfer News: Manchester United scouting Real Madrid starlet Marvelous Antolin Garzon

According to the latest transfer news on Bernabeudigital (h/t The Sun), Manchester United are scouting 18-year-old Real Madrid talent Marvelous Antolin Garzon amidst talk of a potential move.

The Spanish giants have become a hotbed for talent in recent seasons, with several youngsters coming out with flying colours out of the Madrid academy, which is managed by club legend Raul.

The Red Devils snapped up a talented youngster in Alvaro Fernandez Carreras from the La Liga club’s academy last year after the starlet failed to reach an agreement over a new deal with the 13-time European Champions.

In fact, the Old Trafford outfit also sealed a deal for Atletico Madrid ace Alejandro Garnacho after he rejected a new deal with the reigning La Liga champions and snubbed Los Blancos in the process.

United are now trying to pull off something similar, and this time around, the promising prospect is one Marvelous Antolin Garzon. The 18-year-old Spanish wonder is one to look out for and produced promising performances in the club’s academy set-up before being recently bumped up to the U-19 side.

The Moroccan-born defender has already made six appearances for the U-19 team while his displays for the youth sides of the Spanish national team has seen him deemed as the future of the country’s ‘defensive structure.’

The Manchester-based outfit has spent no time in trying to get ahead of their competitors in orchestrating a move for the youngster as they have sent scouts to monitor his performance. Moreover, given their recent success of luring youngsters out of the Spanish capital, they will like their chances of landing starlet’s signature.

With Alvaro Fernandez already proving to be a talented full-back in United’s academy, Marvelous could become the rock-bed for the club’s defence in the future.
