Transfer News: Manchester United ace Amad Diallo ‘keen’ on Feyenoord switch in January
According to Feyenoord Transfermarkt (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United ace Amad Diallo is keen on securing a loan transfer to Feyenoord in January after failing to do so in the summer.
The 19-year-old arrived at Old Trafford at the start of this year from Atalanta in a big-money move. However, the Ivorian was straightaway slotted into the first-team and also made key appearances in the UEFA Europa League for the Red Devils.
He played his part in the Round of 16 tie against AC Milan but failed to feature prominently in the latter stages of the competition. The youngster spent the end of the season playing in the U-23s and would have been hoping to come back into the senior squad this season.
However, the winger missed out on the pre-season campaign as he was called up for international duty for the Olympics. Moreover, United also brought Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo into the frontline.
A loan move seemed to be on the cards and Eredivisie club Feyenoord were interested in orchestrating a deal for the attacker. However, an injury ruled out those plans, but Diallo has now completed his recovery process and looks good to go again.
In fact, the Ivorian international is also said to be ‘keen’ on moving to Feyenoord on loan in January. The Dutch club could certainly provide the youngster with some much-needed minutes, something Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be able to guarantee him at Old Trafford.

However, although the 19-year-old has made his stance clear on the topic of a potential move, Solskjaer also recently claimed that a decision on the player will be made towards the end of December.
With United having more than a fair share of forwards in their frontline, a loan deal in January would be a wise decision as it would only help Diallo’s development and help him compete for a first-team position next season.
