Manchester United coaching staff irritated with the hands-off training approach of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
According to the Irish Independent (h/t Daily Star), some members of the Manchester United coaching staff are irritated over the delegation of training duties by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian boss has come under scrutiny of late, and the lack of cohesion in his team was clear to see in the demolition against Liverpool. There was a clear lack of understanding within the players of the game-plan and the balance of the team was all over the place.
It has now also been revealed that some members of the coaching staff are not taking well to the 48-year-old’s training methods. It is believed that he is delegating the duties of the main tactical briefings to the players to first-team coaches Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.
During these sessions, it is thought that Solskjaer takes a backseat and observes from the sidelines and assumes a more hands-off approach.
This might not go well down with the hierarchy as the primary duties of Carrick and McKenna are to conduct the training sessions while Eric Ramsay takes care of the set-pieces.
Moreover, none of the aforementioned trio of coaches are above the age of 40 and are relatively in-experienced. Thus, this is said to be irritating specific members of the coaching staff, who are then left to face suggestions that they are responsible for one of the more under-coached sides in the league.

The Red Devils have already shipped in 15 goals this season and have also only managed to score three goals in their last four league games. Thus, something certainly needs to change if the club are to pick up a string of victories.
Solskjaer is already under a lot of pressure and with the possibility of Antonio Conte replacing him, the Norwegian needs to pick up his socks and take charge of the training sessions and motivate the players.
