Manchester United star Paul Pogba deem him snubbing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as ‘fake news’
According to the player’s official Twitter account (h/t The Express), Manchester United star Paul Pogba has revealed that suggestions of him snubbing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the Liverpool game are ‘fake news’.
The 28-year-old is top of the assist charts in the Premier League this season but suffered a poor outing against Leicester City nearly two weeks ago. However, after that game, Pogba was benched against Atalanta as well as Liverpool.
Although he came on as a substitute in both games, his performance against Liverpool was dreadful as he was at fault for the Anfield outfit’s last goal and was later sent off for a rough challenge. It was later claimed by ‘The Sun’, that the midfielder apologized to his teammates for his performance but ignored Solskjaer and also ‘shelved’ all contract talks.
The French international has now come out and denied such suggestions by labelling them as ‘big lies to make headlines’ on his official Twitter account by using the graphic of the aforementioned article.
The former Juventus man also explained his unhappiness with the article later in an Instagram story. It read (h/t The Express):
“Tabloid press once again wants to create polemic with 100 per cent fake news. Big lies to make headlines. Journalists who use my name to be seen when there is nothing to see.
“The only reason I address this b.s. is out of respect for my coach, club and fans to send a clear message: the less you read these people, the better you are, they have no shame and will say just anything, with no basis AT ALL.”

Regardless, Solskjaer is on thin ice at Old Trafford but will not have his star midfielder available for crucial ties against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, which are apparently two out of the three games the Norwegian has been given to save his job.
However, the Frenchman could prove that he is still playing for the manager in the UEFA Champions League tie against Atalanta in a week at the Stadium of Bergamo.
