Manchester United News: Juventus reveal Paul Pogba transfer stance with four-man midfield shortlist
According to ESPN (h/t The Mirror), Manchester United star Paul Pogba is not on the four-man midfield shortlist of Juventus despite recent transfer interest from the Serie A side.
There has been wide speculation regarding the former Juventus man, with several clubs linked to him over a potential exit from United. The midfielder is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and could leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.
The French international has been in incredible form at the start of this season and capped it off with a fine performance for his country in the UEFA Nations League.
Could Juventus swoop in to sign Pogba?
After the game, the player was quizzed on his future, and he did mention that he is still in contact with his former Turin teammates.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, had also previously revealed that his client’s former club remains in his heart, but a potential move would also ‘depend’ on the Italian club. Thus, the ball was in Juventus’ court, but they have now made their priorities clear.
The Serie A club are plotting a move for a midfielder, but their shortlist contains the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Axel Witsel, Denis Zakaria, and Ryan Gravenberch.

Regardless, United are thought to be wanting to make a firm decision on the future of their star midfielder by Christmas. If a new contract cannot be agreed between the concerned parties, the Frenchman will be allowed to talk to foreign clubs in January and also enter into pre-contract agreements.
However, given their investment over the summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should retain his best players, including Pogba, as he looks to complete the rebuild job at the Manchester-based outfit.
