Manchester United chiefs are in doubt about the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amidst Antonio Conte links
According to Calciomercato (h/t The Express), Manchester United chiefs are starting to hold the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in ‘doubt’ with links to Antonio Conte intensifying.
The Norwegian has stabilized the club to a certain extent and has built a massive squad over the last couple of years. United currently possess rich attacking talent as well as a strong roster in defence to build upon.
The youth academy is set up for the future, and young stars are often promoted to the first team. However, the main focus would always be to win the biggest silverware – something Sir Alex Ferguson epitomized during his 26 years at the club.
Unfortunately, his disciple, Solskjaer, has not been able to win a trophy during his tenure at the Old Trafford outfit and this season could spell trouble for him, especially after the kind of marquee players they brought in over the summer.
2 victories in the last seven games in all competitions has seen the Red Devils get eliminated from the EFL, drop out of the Top 4, and struggle to qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Conte in, Solskjaer out at United?
It is now thought that United chiefs are in ‘doubt’ over the future of Solskjaer, with links to Antonio Conte intensifying. The Italian boss won the Serie A with Inter Milan last season and has proved himself in England with Chelsea as well.
