Manchester United told how much they will have to pay to sign AS Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni
According to Spanish publication Marca (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United have been told they will have to shell out the big bucks to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco.
The 21-year-old midfield talent has caught the eye of several clubs after his jaw-dropping performances over the last year. Since joining Monaco last summer, Tchouameni has managed to make 60 appearances across all competitions and has scored 6 goals and provided a further 4 assists in the same period.
His incredible performances from midfield last year helped the French outfit reach within five points of the league title as he was named the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year. Thus, it is no surprise that clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing him.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might have more than a couple of reasons to do so. The Red Devils are yet to sort out the future of Paul Pogba as he is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford. Nemanja Matic will be in a similar situation at the end of this season, while he will also turn 34 next year.
How much will Tchouameni cost United?
Thus, signing Tchouameni feels like a no-brainer, as he has also proved his quality on the international stage now after helping France win the UEFA Nations League and caught the eye of Pogba while doing so.
