Federico Chiesa can be lured to Manchester United after Jadon Sancho’s situation
According to Calciomercato (h/t Daily Mail) Federico Chiesa of Juventus is the player Manchester United are focusing on replacing Jadon Sancho with in January.
Chiesa’s value is estimated by his club to be around £52 million. He was a key component of Italy’s success at Euro 2020. Chiesa’s contract will expire in 2025, and his current weekly wage is £80,000.
The winger was a star at Euro 2020 (which took place in 2021), but he missed most of the previous season due to a catastrophic ACL injury.
The Italian struggled after fully recovering, but this season he is back to his former best, scoring four goals and dishing out an assist in his first six games. Selling the winger could be one of the biggest errors in Juventus’ recent history since it would entail giving up on the idea of making him the new club icon.
Chiesa has always wanted to play in the Premier League, and even though this opportunity might present itself sooner than anticipated, it might be the ideal answer for him. Chiesa is fast and United have a history of picking up fast players. This can be heavily beneficial for causing threats to the opposition’s defensive half.
While Jadon Sancho has only played as a substitute three times for United this year, he hasn’t been part of the team since his outburst on social media.
The future of Sancho in this United squad currently remains uncertain. It doesn’t make sense to invest a large quantity of money on another winger if everything is under control and Erik ten Hag reinstates the young talent to the first team.

Since Antony has resumed training, United are stocked with players who can play the attacking flank position. Chiesa, however, can still be a great option due to his great versatility in attack but he won’t come cheap given his importance to Juve.
