Harry Maguire could return from injury for Manchester United to face Leicester City on Saturday
According to the Manchester Evening News (h/t Sports Mole), Manchester United club captain Harry Maguire could recover from his injury and feature against Leicester City on the weekend.
The 28-year-old entered the new season with a lot of gusto after playing a crucial role in helping the Three Lions reach their first major final since 1966.
He also formed a brand-new centre-back partnership alongside Raphael Varane, who was brought in from Real Madrid. The pair managed to keep a clean sheet in their first outing against Wolves towards the end of August but have not been able to manage one since.
Things only got worse when Maguire suffered a calf issue during the game against Aston Villa in late September– a game they went on to lose in the dying minutes. Post that, the Red Devils escaped a loss as they secured a last gasp victory against Villarreal in the Champions League.
The defensive frailties were on show against Everton as well when Andros Townsend was in more than enough space to put the ball in the back of the net. On top of that, Varane picked up an injury during international duty with France.
However, in what could be a huge boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co, Maguire could now make swift return to the first-team squad and feature against the Foxes on the weekend, according to the Manchester Evening News (h/t Sports Mole).

United would have faced the prospect of fielding Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly together, but the return of the 28-year-old English international can shore up some of the problems Lindelof and Varane had together.
Moreover, with the games coming thick and fast post the international break, Solskjaer will also be wary of not exhausting his players. Thus, while he might make the trip to the King Power, only time will tell whether the Norwegian boss decides to field his captain on Saturday.
