Juventus are ready to offer Aaron Ramsey in a swap deal to sign Manchester United ace Paul Pogba in January

According to the Daily Mail (h/t The Sun), Juventus are set to make a move for Manchester United ace Paul Pogba in January by sending Aaron Ramsey the other way.

The Serie A giants are said to be interested in a deal to land Pogba and are going to waste no time in trying to orchestrate a move to sign him. However, cash is not the way the Turin outfit is planning on getting the Frenchman to Turin.

The Italian club are ready to offer one of their fringe players in Aaron Ramsey in a swap deal, that would see the Welshman join the Old Trafford outfit, and Pogba return to sign for the Old Lady again.

The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract and will be eligible to talk to foreign clubs over a potential move in January. Although he could be signed on a free transfer next summer, there could be several other suitors in line.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also understood to be interested in securing the midfielder’s services as both heavyweights look to strengthen their clubs.

However, this will only come into question if the French international fails to sign a new deal with the Red Devils.

There is a lot of ‘optimism’ in the United camp that Pogba could sign a new contract, and given his incredible form at the start of the season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co would want to keep him at the club beyond this season.

Thus, it is unlikely that the Manchester-based club would consider any swap deal, least of all when they would receive a player like Ramsey in return, who has managed less than 100 minutes of football this season.
