Transfer News: Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester United to sign Juventus ace Federico Chiesa
Speaking on Calciomercato.it’s show (h/t Sport Witness), Ivan Reggiani, who is often deemed as an agent or intermediary, has provided the latest transfer news and has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester United to sign Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
The 23-year-old has been absolutely incredible for the Old Lady since he made the move to Turin from Fiorentina last summer. The youngster had a terrific debut season as he knocked in 15 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
A lot of the Italian’s progress was alongside United legend Cristiano Ronaldo before the Portuguese left for Manchester this summer. Chiesa was also pivotal to his nation’s European Championship triumph in July, and it has now been deemed that Ronaldo wants his former teammate with him at Old Trafford.
Ivan Reggiani, who has been referred to as an agent as well as an intermediary, often speaks to the Italian media. Reggiani has now claimed that the 36-year-old as well as some other English clubs are interested in signing Chiesa. Appearing on Calciomercato.it’s show as a guest, he told the website (h/t Sport Witness):
“I think there are very serious and important foreign pressures on him. Appreciated across the Channel [in England], he is heavily supported by Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I think Federico can leave Juventus very soon. It can easily exceed one hundred million. There are not only United: there are 2-3 clubs that could reach €120-130m.”

The Italian has quickly progressed at the Serie A club, and United might want to complete a deal for the youngster while they still can. English rivals Chelsea are said to be interested, while Juventus could also get the 23-year-old to sign a new deal.
While none of those scenarios have panned out yet, the Red Devils should jump the gun if they hope to satisfy Ronaldo’s wishes and get the winger to play alongside him again, but this time, in the theatre of dreams.
