Journo claims Paul Pogba no longer feels like Man United’s superstar after Ronaldo’s arrival

Paul Pogba does not feel like a star at Manchester United after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo

Speaking to Sky Italia, as relayed by Juventus News 24 (h/t Sport Witness), Italian journalist Paolo Condo has explained how Paul Pogba no longer feels like a Manchester United star due to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese made a return to the theatre of dreams in August and has been the center of attention since making his debut for the club three weeks ago against Newcastle United. The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner carries a starry personality and is often the first person on the team sheet, provided he is available for selection.

However, before the 36-year-old startled the Old Trafford fans by his return, the man on the lips of every United fan was Paul Pogba.

The midfielder was in scintillating form in August as he racked up 5 assists in the first two games of the season. However, the 28-year-old has had little to no contribution after the end of the international break in September.

In the same period, Ronaldo has racked up 5 goals in 5 games, including scoring the winner against Villarreal and taking all the plaudits along with him. Italian journalist Paolo Condo has now revealed that Pogba does not feel like the top man at United anymore.

Condo told Sky Italia, as relayed by Juventus News 24 (h/t Sport Witness):

“After the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Pogba no longer feels like the great Manchester United star. He is no longer the center of attention. And in the last few matches, Pogba’s performance has dropped a lot.”

The Frenchman is also in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and is yet to sign an extension. If the player is indeed not feeling the top dog anymore, it could sway his decision to stay or leave the club next summer, with PSG, Juventus, and Real Madrid keen on a move for the 28-year-old.
