Transfer News: Manchester United face competition from Chelsea and Juventus for Aurelien Tchouameni
According to the latest transfer news on Transfer Market Web, Manchester United will battle Chelsea and Juventus for the signature of Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 21-year-old talent has been on the radar of several clubs and had also garnered interest from the Red Devils earlier this summer, but a move failed to materialize.
Tchouameni joined A.S Monaco from Bordeaux in January 2020 and has gone on to establish himself as a starter at the French outfit despite his young age. The midfielder made 42 appearances in all competitions last season, including 36 in Ligue 1, as he helped his club to within 5 points of the league title.
The Frenchman did, however, score 3 goals and provide 4 assists over the course of the season and won the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award. The youngster has continued his good form from last season into this one and has racked up 11 appearances already.
Thus, it is no surprise that the Old Trafford outfit want the midfielder as he will provide a lot of quality in the ranks. Moreover, at 21, Tchouameni can prove to be a long-term asset for the Red Devils, especially given his quality in the last year and a half at Monaco.
While United would be focusing on getting a deal over the line, they will have to fend off the likes of Chelsea and Juventus, who are also keen on orchestrating a deal for the French international.

The Manchester-based club have made some astute additions to their squad this summer and would be looking to build on that by bringing in exciting talent.
However, with Tchouameni’s contract set to expire in 2024, it remains to be seen what kind of transfer fee will United have to shell out if they are to land the midfielder.
