PSG forward Kylian Mbappe contract revelation leads to Manchester United being one of the ‘suitors’ in 2024
Manchester United are one of several clubs keeping an eye on the situation of PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe, according to Marca (h/t Express).
The Red Devils are plotting an audacious move for the 2018 World Cup winner. The 23-year-old was initially thought to have signed for the Ligue 1 champions until 2025 this summer. However, it has emerged that the last year of the contract is optional.
Also, Paris Saint-Germain and Mbappe ‘know what to expect’ when the France international will have just six months left on his deal. And the Old Trafford side are one of the ‘suitors’ who would be interested.
Mbappe was anticipated to move to Real Madrid on a free transfer. However, he ended up putting pen to paper at PSG. The Champions League has eluded the 23-year-old and he wants to win the prestigious trophy with the Parisiens.
United are not amongst the elite at the moment in world football. While we have historical pedigree and the team has not been able to compete with the best sides over the years.
Years of seeming mismanagement has led to the Red Devils losing some of their sheen. We last won the Premier League in 2013, Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season in charge. And the Manchester-based club last lifted the CL title in the 2007/08 campaign.
For the time being, United fans are looking to see their team compete with the best once again. And Erik ten Hag’s appointment has been an exciting one.
After initially losing the first two games of the new season, the Dutch manager and the Red Devils have been able to turn the tide. The Liverpool game started United’s four-game-winning run in the league.
