Manchester United ace Victor Lindelof has explained how he has suffered through ‘back problems’
According to an interview done with FotbolDirekt (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester United star Victor Lindelof has talked about his injury problems in his back and how he has played through them for the last couple of years.
One of the most consistent figures in the team sheet under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Victor Lindelof has been an incredible servant to the club since he joined the Old Trafford outfit in the summer of 2017 from Benfica.
Since then, the Swede has featured in 163 games for the Red Devils while he also scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists in the process. However, it seems like, for the last two years, the 27-year-old has been playing for the club despite suffering pain in his back.
Lindelof talked about his problems in an interview with FotbolDirekt (h/t Sport Witness). He said:
“I have played a lot the last two years, and last year I had big problems with my back and played with pain. My back feels good now, there will probably be no problems, but I do not think I will play 50, 60 matches”.
Lindelof was also asked about how he felt about the addition of summer signing Raphael Varane to the squad, to which he replied (h/t Sport Witness):
“It’s great, I play in one of the world’s biggest clubs, and they have very good players. We will have a competitive situation, and I only see it as positive that we have got a good player in the squad.”

Thus, the Swede has continued his positive attitude towards the game and life. Although Varane might now occupy Lindelof’s role, there are several games to be played over the course of the season, especially since United are competing in nearly four competitions.
Moreover, given the quality in United’s squad, the 27-year-old will now be hoping to win some trophies with the Old Trafford outfit, something he has failed to do since he joined the club.
