Cristiano Ronaldo gives first interview after sealing Manchester United return
According to the official website of Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that he has made the ‘best decision’ by joining Manchester United from Juventus this summer.
The 36-year-old, who first joined the club in 2003, has an incredible relationship with the fans and the club due to his starry time at Old Trafford. Ronaldo won three Premier League titles and a Champions League with Manchester United while he also achieved his first-ever Ballon d’Or while playing for the club.
However, in 2009, he left for Real Madrid. After 9 years at the Spanish capital, Ronaldo went to Turin and joined Juventus. After winning 2 Serie A titles, Ronaldo has now joined the Old Trafford outfit again.
The 36-year-old was pleased in his first interview and stated that signing for the club again was the ‘best decision’. He told the club’s official website:
“I think it’s the best decision that I have made it. It’s right on point in my opinion. I moved from Juve now to Manchester, it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help Manchester achieve great results, to win trophies and number one of them, to win great things.”
Ronaldo also went on to explain how Sir Alex Ferguson has been key in making a decision to re-join the club.
“For me, Sir Alex Ferguson is like a father in football for me. I really like him a lot, and he was the main key for me to be in the position that I am, that I signed for Manchester United.”
