Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Aurelien Tchouameni
According to an interview done by journalist Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast (as relayed by The Express) (h/t Football Fan Cast), Manchester United have made contact with Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The Red Devils have added handsomely to their frontline and defence with Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane respectively, and could now be keen on adding to their current midfield department.
The Old Trafford outfit have been linked with Saul Niguez, Eduardo Camavinga, Leon Goretzka, Ruben Neves, and Declan Rice over the course of the summer but have now stepped up their interest in Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 22-year-old, who won the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year last season has been incredible for the French outfit. The midfielder managed to make 42 appearances in all competitions for Monaco last season and has already featured in 7 games for the club this season.
Given that the French outfit are not in the Champions League anymore, they could be open to the idea of letting the 22-year-old leave this season. Moreover, according to transfer expert Duncan Castles, the Red Devils have also made contact with the player to enquire about the fee which would allow them to sign the youngster.
Castles told the Transfer Window Podcast (as relayed by The Express) (h/t Football Fan Cast):
“They have had contact with Aurelien Tchouameni’s representatives at AS Monaco to find out what it would cost to bring him there”.
