Wolverhampton Wanderers linked with Man United starlet Amad Diallo
According to transfer news from The Athletic (Subscription Required) [h/t Molineux News], Manchester United are keen on loaning out Amad Diallo to a Premier League club this summer, with Wolverhampton really interested in the player.
The 19-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs including Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Atalanta, and several other clubs.
However, the player is set to be wanting a move to a Premier League club, courtesy of which both Sheffield and Atalanta will be ruled out of a move, even though the latter, which is the youngster’s former club, can provide Champions League football to the Ivorian. Additionally, Diallo is apparently not going to take the ‘path’ to Palace either this summer.
Wolves are said to have scouted the player previously and are a club that could be ‘potentially interested’ in signing the 19-year-old. However, the Molineux outfit have a couple of problems in completing this deal.
The player’s £25,000-per-week wages are said to be an issue for Wolves while they are apparently not too keen on developing a player who might not have a future at the club. Thus, while a move could be completed to Wolves, certain complications will have to be cleared out first.
Diallo, who managed eight senior appearances at United last year, played a crucial role in the club’s road to the Europa League final, including scoring in the Round of 16 against AC Milan.

However, given that the Red Devils have signed long-term target Jadon Sancho this summer, Diallo could fall down the pecking order and might suffer for game-time.
Thus, in a mutual decision between the 19-year-old and the club, the Ivorian can seek a loan move but will have to move fast, as the transfer window will be shut in less than a week.
