Manchester United scouts found at Benfica game and a transfer could be on the cards
According to A Bola (h/t Sport Witness), a club official of Manchester United was found in Portugal for Benfica’s game against PSV Eindhoven.
It has been known that the Old Trafford outfit are still trying to bring in more players this summer while the club have also been known to have scouts all over the world.
United have previously found gems in the football world in the form of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, while the acquisition of Amad Diallo last year was also a sign that they have scouts scattered across the globe.
However, given that the summer transfer window is yet to end, it only makes sense that they are still scouting players and might continue to do so until the end of the month. However, there is no news regarding a specific player being targeted by the aforementioned club official.
While Benfica did win the game 2-1, it was not an easy win by any stretch of the word as Eindhoven pushed for the equalizer in the second half.
Although they were not successful, there were several great performances by the likes of Rafa Silva, Noni Madueke, Cody Gakpo and Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, who put in a brilliant performance.

The Portuguese League has been a hub throughout the last decade of several talented players and given that people were not allowed inside the stadium for nearly 12 months, there is a lot of new talent to discover.
While United’s club official may have only been scouting for now, the club may have some sort of ‘transfer plan’ revolving around, while there is also a chance that the Red Devils could unveil another signing before the 31st of August– something their fans will certainly enjoy.
