Transfer News: Everton and Flamengo want Manchester United playmaker Andreas Pereira on loan
As per Italian journalist Matteo Moretto (h/t Fabrizio Romano), Everton have approached Manchester United to sign Andreas Pereira on loan during the summer transfer window.
United, however, still prioritize a permanent sale instead of sending out the 25-year-old on another temporary spell. Pereira was at SS Lazio last season where he failed to make a significant impression.
And according to reliable journalist Fred Caldeira (h/t Fabrizio Romano), Brazilian side Flamengo have also made an approach to bring in the playmaker, with an offer of sharing his salary with the Red Devils.

As per @fredcaldeira, Flamengo asked for Andreas Pereira on loan sharing his salary.”
United want permanent sale
Pereira was brought into United’s academy a long time back from PSV Eindhoven in January 2012. A promising start in the youth sides did not translate into regular first-team football.
And as a result, he has been loaned out three times over the past 5 years. His first spell was with Granada and in 2017, he returned to Spain in another loan move, this time with Valencia.
His most recent outing was at Simone Inzaghi’s Biancocelesti where he made just three league starts and was heavily used as a super-sub. However, it seems like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not have him in his plans anymore.

Pereira is a very versatile player who can play in a lot of positions in midfield and attack. But United already have a stacked squad and selling him before he reaches the last of his contract next summer seems like a wise thing to do.
