Player News: Jadon Sancho attends first training session since joining Manchester United
Manchester United made a big move this summer by finally bringing Jadon Sancho to the Theatre of Dreams. Having chased him unsuccessfully for a while, his arrival was gratification for a fanbase that has long been sceptical of the club’s ambition to get the deal done.
But happen it did and for a lower price than what he would have cost last summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finally has a world-class right-winger and the Red Devils have addressed a long-standing weakness in the squad. Fans have been keen to see him in action and there is good news on that front.
According to Manchester Evening News, Sancho was spotted at the Carrington training ground undergoing his first training session as a Red Devil.
The winger was granted time off following his participation in the European Championship with England. He did, however, turn up a week later than his fellow Red Devils and England stars Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
With just days to go before our season opener against Leeds United, Sancho’s first appearance is a treat to the eyes for United players. One of the most exciting talents in world football, United could very well have a potential world-beater on their hands.
The 21-year-old has signed an initial five-year deal at Old Trafford after United agreed a £72.9million transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund for his services.
Speaking at the weekend, Solskjaer admitted that he is unlikely to throw Sancho onto the field before he is ready. While his ability is not in question, it is imperative that we ease him in than rush the move. There is little to be gained by throwing him into the box before he is ready.

Sancho certainly looks very happy to don the famous red shirt. He has come a long way since making his name as an emerging young talent at cross-town rivals Manchester City. Great things are expected of him at the Theatre of Dreams. Hopefully, he will go on to achieve just that.
