Transfer News: Manchester United set £22m price for Andreas Pereira
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have set a price tag of £22m for Andreas Pereira. The Brazilian midfielder is the subject of interest from Fenerbahce and another Premier League club. United want to cash in on him, with the player’s stock currently up.
Having joined from PSV Eindhoven in 2014, Pereira failed to build upon the initial promise he showed at the club. He also had loan spells to Granada and Valencia where he showed some encouraging form. But that too faded as he returned to United and failed to kick on.
The 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder spent the previous season on loan at Lazio. While he did get to see a fair bit of action, his performances were far from impressive. Pereira scored a solitary goal and made four assists in 33 appearances for the club. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Pereira has been given chances in the pre-season and he has impressed a fair bit, especially in the draw against Brentford where he scored a peach of a goal. United have set an impressive £22m price tag on the Brazilian with Fenerbahce and another Premier League side interested.

At this point, there does not seem to be room for Pereira at United. Or to be clearer, he is not really at the quality United are operating on. Yes, the goal may have been a spectacular one but United have far better options in midfield and letting him go might not hurt them.
